Full Disclosure

ezGamerz is a labor of love written and edited by a small group of video game enthusiasts. Each of us routinely scans our backyards and surrounding landscape, but, as of yet, none of us has discovered a money tree. Since not a single one of us has won the lottery either it is necessary for us to make money on this site in order to keep it running. We feel good about that because we feel good about the information that we put together for our readers. So that you know the score, here are the things we do to make money:

Banners and Links

You will notice ads (banners and links) located through the site. These are provided either through programs like Google AdSense or affiliate programs like ClickBank. We’ve monkeyed around with these systems to make sure that the ads presented are related to what you are reading and make sense. It’s not perfect and we certainly encourage feedback if you see something that just seems completely out of whack. In addition to working with these large ad networks, we will also work directly with people or companies that we think offer cool stuff. Banners or links for their products or services may appear around the site.

Sponsored Posts

We currently work with networks like Pay-Per-Post and BlogKits so that video game industry advertisers can find us and we can find them. If there looks like a good fit, we won’t hesitate to write posts for compensation. We will, however, write our balanced opinions. If we like something, we’ll say that. If we don’t, we’ll say that too. If the advertisers don’t want to approve what we’ve written, we won’t accept payment for it. Also, we encourage companies in the video game industry to reach out to us directly for previews and/or reviews of their products/services. As those requests come in, we may negotiate compensation. Then again, we may not. But, if a company wants to pay us for what we think (in our area of expertise, of course), we will usually be happy to oblige. As always, we will leave comments open for you to provide your own opinions. In the event that any post on the site is commissioned by a third-party, we will point it out so that you can make your own judgment on its validity.

Your Contribution

We encourage community participation. Whether a post is sponsored or not, we want you to sound off. All posts will have comments turned on and in most cases those posts will have corresponding topics in the ezGamerz Forum for longer and/or more advanced discussions. Tell us what you think. Be supportive. Be critical. Just be real and don’t be a jerk. If at any point you fee like your voice has not been heard, you can always send us direct feedback on our contact page or by sending email to our Feedback inbox.

Well, there you have it. We love video games. We love them enough to spend time bringing you as much valuable information as we possibly can. And, we are not afraid to make a little money while we are at it.
