Just a heads up that ezGamerz is in the process of making a few site alterations and updates. We’ve moved around some of the content, created new categories and added a bunch of features to allow our readers to get more involved and start building a community here. What this means is that you might see something different each time you come back for a visit. Buttons and links might change location or disappear altogether. Comment, contact and registration forms might go through some major overhauls. Names of stuff might change completely. It’s not that seeing something different is necessarily a bad thing, we just wanted to make sure that no one freaked out and ran screaming for the hills because something had moved. Oh, and if we happened to scrap something that you really liked, just tell us. If enough people feel the same way, we’ll look at putting “it” back or finding out some other way to get it to you.

Actual ezGamerz memberz thrilled about the new features. (OK, not really, but they look freakin' excited, right?)
ezGamerz Forums — Jump in and mix it up. We’ve set things up in what feels like a pretty logical manner, but if we’ve made any glaring omissions, don’t hesitate to throw something at us (figuratively speaking) and call our attention to it.
Video Game Screenshots — Everyone likes checking out cool screens. This section will certainly grow in time. We’ll add ‘em as we find ‘em, so make sure to check back often.
Cool Videos — Like the screenshots, we’re going to look around and when we find stuff that we like, we’ll include it here. If we’ve produced it, we’ll put it up. If someone else has produced it and doesn’t mind that we share it with you, we’ll do that to.

WOOF! Mmmm...News.
The ezGamerz Newsletter — We’ll come up with a clever name in the future as well as a preferences center so that readers can get really specific about the content they receive. For now, it is an easy way for you to collect all the new content in one place and consume it at your leisure. For those folks who trust us with their information (and we are dead serious about it — here’s the ezGamerz privacy policy.) we even plan to reward you with some cool exclusives currently in development. Seriously, unlock your awesome! Sign up for the newsletter.
Sharing Content — Sometimes you’re on a website and you find something and you think, “Gee, it would be swell if I could send that on to all my pals.” Ok, perhaps you’ve never said “Gee” or “swell” or even “pals”, but you get the picture. We’ve tried to make it easy for you to share content on this site. So, you’re likely to notice buttons that say “Share” or “Tweet This” or something else we haven’t yet decided. Use ‘em. Get the word out and let the world know about the interesting stuff you find here.
Advertising — It pays for us to keep doing this. We love games. Enough to work at all this full time. Our families love food and roofs and clothing on their backs. Ads and sponsorships and other paid consideration from the community let us keep doing what we love and our families fed. An alternative certainly would be to have enough donations from our readers to eliminate all of the ads. Who knows…maybe in the future we’ll provide something that lets users pay their way out of the ads on an individual basis. We’ll let you know. In the meantime, how about a donation?
ezGamerz Polls — We’ll be asking your opinion on all sorts of things. Most likely we will have the current poll displayed somewhere on the homepage, but if you ever want to check in and see what’s happened in the past, we’ll keep everything archived.
Gaming Industry Jobs board — Not sure yet if we will aggregate jobs from other sources or set something up independently to keep you informed of the opportunities that are out there, but we will absolutely do our best to let you know who is hiring.
Gaming Education — As the video game industry continues to mature so does the education system that supports it. More and more schools are offering specific degrees in game development, design, production, marketing, etc…OR…game-related tracks within other established degree programs. The ezGamerz Crew will be putting together information to get you started if you are as passionate about making games as you are about playing them.
Developer Roster — Game development houses come and go. Some stay for the long haul while others fit the mold of the proverbial “one-hit wonder”. We’re not 100% sure on how detailed we will be here, but our goal will be to give you some insight into the players out there…where they came from, what they are working on, what the hell happened to them, etc.
Industry Events — Like any industry there are tons of gaming industry events going on every year. Some of them are very general others very specific, some gear directly towards an individual title. As this section develops, we will do our best to keep you up to date on which events are coming up and what to expect.
We’re a pretty laid back group of gamers. That said, we’ll work hard to make this a place that we can all be proud of and enjoy. Use the site, tell us what you think, share it with your friends, find something you need and buy it. And remember, this is a site about games and gaming. Games are fun. So have some fun and go get your game on!
